C&H Custom Bookbinding and Embossing was founded by owners
Michael and Barbara Strauss in 1973.

We have always been a New York based company, starting in Brooklyn and later moving to Long Island. After more than 30 years we have established lasting relationships with our trusted vendors, obtaining the best NY has to offer
in the art of gilding and leather. All of our materials, binders boards, endsheets,
even paper, are of archival quality.

Our main focus has always been and will always be our clients throughout the world.

Our company is still family owned and operated, now joined by the second generation of talented bookbinders and designers. We have a wonderful support staff as well to insure personal service and add to the creative flow.
